Mawson has been tasked with working with a four-man squad this week, consisting of Altay Bayindir, Senne Lammens, Dermot Mee and Academy goalkeeper Fred Heath.
He says that the time we have spent together away from home, in a different environment and with an alternative routine to a normal week in Carrington, has been a real benefit for both his goalkeepers and the group as a whole.
“Normally on a day-to-day basis we work individually within the group, with smaller squads, which allows us to build those relationships, but it intensifies a bit more when you leave the training ground because you also spend some social time together,” Craig added.
“When you are here, bonds are created, relationships are built, not only between the goalkeepers but also with the whole team and staff.
“I’m very lucky, it’s a fantastic working group, with many different qualities, many different personalities, but the work ethic every day, the implementation of the design and session practices and the willingness to try new things (makes me feel) like I’m very fortunate to be able to work with this group.”
